1. We believe that all the redeemed once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:37, 10:27-29; Romans 8:1-39; Philippians 1:6; I Peter 1:5; I John 5:13). 2. We believe that it is a privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God's word, which, however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh (Romans 13:13-14; Galatians 5: 13; Titus 2:11-15; Colossians 3:5-14).Titus 2:11-15; Colossians 3:5-14).
H. Separation
1. We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and, that separation from all worldly and pleasures, practices and associations is commanded of God (II Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1- 2, 13:14; I John 2:15-17: Ii Corinthians 6:14-7:1)
2. We believe the modern ecumenical movement violates the teachings of the Scriptures (II John 10-11; Jude 16; II Peter 2:1).
3. We believe the charismatic movement is unscriptural because it misunderstands the baptizing work of the Holy Spirit, how it relates to spiritual gifts and the present dispensation. We hold therefore, that in light of the absence of any clear Scriptural commands or instructions to speak in tongues, either in public or private, to do so or seek to do so is, in our view, extra-Biblical, unwarranted and possibly dangerous to a believer's spiritual development (I Corinthians 13:8-10; 14:6-22).
4. We believe that modern day cults and isms are clearly unscriptural. (II John 10 & 11; II Corinthians 11:13-15; II Timothy 4: 2-4; I John 4:2-4).
I. The Church
1. We believe that the Church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born- again persons of this present age (Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:25-27; I Corinthians 12:12-14; II Corinthians 11:2).
2. We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts 14:27; 20:17, 28-32; I Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11).
3. We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control (Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31; 20:28; Romans 16:1, 4; I Corinthians 3:3, 16; 5:4-7, 13; I Peter 5:1-4).
4. We recognize the ordinances of water baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper as Scriptural means of testimony for the Church in this age (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 18:18; I Corinthians 11:23-26; 1:11-17).
